When the crowd makes a dance floor where there ain't one, you can bet the Rodeo is in town! In their hard-hitting honky-tonk style, Six String Rodeo delivers a little Merle, some Brad Paisley, Hank Jr. and the like. Add to that, originals like "Ancient History" and "Miller High Life" and you've got a rip-roarin' ride that lives up to the rodeo name. With the June 2006 release of their first EP, Horseshoes and Tattoos, Breaux says the band's mission remains simple: "to be one of the best bands around and to make people dance". Emerging from south Louisiana, where Cajun and Zydeco music are so prevalent in the culture, this purely country sound may be unexpected. But when your feet dance you on to the floor during a boot-stomping original like "Little Too Late", nothing seems out of place. When Six String Rodeo entertains, everyone finds themselves a country fan. |
